Skyline High School’s girls’ golf team is making waves this season with a 7-2 win-loss. Under the leadership of new head coach Greg Sinn, the team has shown determination, growth, and steady improvement from previous years with consistent performances and a growing sense of team unity.
With several returning players and promising newcomers, the team has managed to strike a balance between experience and fresh talent. Team captains Abby J, Sydney S, and Lauren S have been standing out, not only with their scores, but also through their mentorship and leadership on and off the course.
Skyline’s golfers have competed in several meets already this season, with notable performances against rival schools, such as our friends down the hill, Issaquah, and the Newport Knights. While the results haven’t always been wins on the scoreboard, the team’s steady improvement is what stands out most.
Looking ahead, the top 6 players, Abby J. (Sr.), Sydney S. (Sr.), Lauren S. (Sr.), Chloe Z (Jr.), Lizzie W. (So.), and Shanaya G. (Fr.), are preparing for upcoming district tournaments at Snohomish Golf Course with the goal of qualifying for state.
