The Top 10 Must Watch Marvel Series/Movies Coming Out in 2021

The Marvel Cinematic Universe returned last Friday with the premiere of the first two episodes of “Wanda Vision”. The introduction to Phase 4 after the infinity saga had many eager fans gushing over the confusing but adorable plot and left looking forward to the next episodes. This is making fans all over the world excited for the upcoming other movies and tv shows. Here is a list of the top 10 marvel movies/tv series coming out this year that you should look forward to.

1. WandaVision (January 15, 2021)

Although in Avengers: Infinity War, Vision played by Paul Bettany died, he appears with Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch on WandaVision. This show is Marvel Studios’ first sitcom and portrays “a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision–to super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives–begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.”

 

2. The Falcon and The Winter Soldier (March 19, 2021)

Anthony Mackie (Sam Wilson/The Falcon) and Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier) return as they team up to battle against the anarchist group, the Flag-Smashers, as the U.S. government tests the limits of the new Captain America. The duo didn’t seem to like each other in the scenes that they had during the Avengers series, but the fans are eager to watch them on disney+ as many find this duo hilarious.

 

3. Loki (May 2021)

The beloved God of Mischief comes back even after dying three times with a series following his disappearance with the Space Stone. Although the MCU has claimed that Loki has officially died, is he really dead? “The question I got asked more than any other after ‘Avengers: Endgame’  is where did Loki go? What happened to Loki?” Kevin Feige said, “This series will tell you what happened to Loki right after that. He goes to a number of places.”

 

4. Shang-chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (July 9, 2021)

Simu Liu stars as Shang-Chi, a skilled martial artist, in Marvel Studios’ “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”. Shang-Chi must confront his past as he is drawn into the web of mysteries called the Ten Rings organization. Do you remember the name of the organization that captured Tony Stark in the first “Iron Man” movie?

 

5. Spider-Man 3 (December 17, 2021)

Teen Vogue

Tom Holland is back with his third adventure as Spider-Man with Electro played by Jamie Foxx and Otto Octavius played by Alfred Molina. With Doctor Strange also appearing in this film, there may be some confusing multiverse hopping. This is mentioned as the sequel to the other two Spider-Man movies and a prequel to the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness which is set to release on March 25, 2022.

 

6. What If…? (mid-2021)

This is the first animated series in the MCU which will tell stories of how major events could have played out. Taking inspiration from the comic book of the same name, it gives another perspective to the audience of what could have happened. Such as “What if Peggy Carter was the one who became a super soldier?”

 

7. Black Widow (May 7, 2021)

The movie that was supposed to start Phase 4 of the MCU is coming. Scarlett Johansson returns as Natasha Romanoff or Black Widow and is set between the events of “Captain America: Civil War” and “Avengers: Infinity War”. She teams up with her Russian family from the Black Widow program and the audience will get a glimpse of her life before the Avengers.

 

8. Eternals (November 5, 2021)

Marvel Studios’ introduce a new team of super heroes, ancient aliens who have been inhabiting Earth in secret for thousands of years. Following the “Avengers: Endgame”, the team is forced out and fights alongside each other to defeat their ancient enemy, the Deviants. 

 

9. Hawkeye (Late 2021)

The original avenger, Clint Barton/Hawkeye, returns as he trains Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) to be the new Hawkeye. With this solo series, the audience might be able to see the events before he became part of the Avengers, including what happened in Budapest.

 

 10. Ms. Marvel (Late 2021)

Iman Velani will star as the teenage superhero, Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel, the first Muslim superhero in Marvel Comics. With the power to alter shape and size, Ms. Marvel shows an idealistic attitude to make the world a better place.
