Ava Robertson, Staff Writer
Ava, a sophomore, is a competitive swimmer for Skyline and Issaquah Swim Team, which takes up a lot of her time outside of school. When she does have a rare moment of freedom from school work, swim, and her job, she can often be found playing with her dog (seen in image), telling her mom all the gossip that reaches her ears (which, in all honesty, isn’t very much), or attempting to draft a coherent piece of literature. Ava always wanted to be an author. Ever since she was a little girl, she loved the idea of creating entirely new worlds that didn’t have to follow the rules of this one (if you can’t tell, she’s a fantasy/fiction enjoyer). Her elementary teachers must have had quite the laugh every time she wrote 20 pages on a 3 page story assignment (looking back on those, she can barely read them. Her spelling has significantly improved since then).
