Derreck is a Junior that enjoys going online and find out what's happening in the world and how important events are being recorded by various journalists and trying to find a balanced point of view on it. He also believes journalism is important because of the internet, news and rumors can spread far above what was previously imaginable and as such, journalists must exist to sort right from wrong and then present it to the public, leading to a more informed public that is better for all of us.
